Home Matters Most

Wednesday 6 August 2008

Jennifer at HomeMattersMost is giving a gift to the best post entitled 'Home Matters Most', in which you talk about why your home is so important to you...I thought long and hard about this one...

My home to me, is my family, wherever we are.

Our home is our safe place...
where we can be together and look after each other

a place for having fun...
where we can be ourselves and be silly without worrying about who's looking

for playing with friends...
where we can spend our precious time having fun together

a place to be busy...
where we can be ourselves even if we are a little moody

a place full of laughter...
where we can share our happiness

a place to learn...
where we can discover the world through each others eyes

a place to teach...
where we can pass on the knowledge we have been taught ourselves

a place to relax...
where we can feel peace, with each other and the world around us

and a place to grow...
where we can be at one with nature and learn from our experiences together

A simple life, a happy family, living alongside nature, a place to share memories, dreams, laughter, love...

...this is why home matters most to us

Having moved around a lot in my time, I can understand what you mean by "Home to me, is my family, wherever we are". I too felt the same way for a long time - no one place was ever really home but I had the love of my family and that's what really mattered.

Lovely photos. They really sum things up :)
